[Remote] Director of Marketing
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. itopia is a K-12 cloud platform providing a control layer for various educational tools. They are seeking a Director of Marketing to build a marketing function from the ground up, focusing on account-based marketing and community engagement for K-12 IT directors and educators.
Responsibilities
- Build the ABM engine on top of EduLead + HubSpot — enrichment, signal triggers, AI-personalized sequences
- Create multi-channel plays: email, LinkedIn, direct mail, executive video, paid
- Establish a community for K-12 IT directors and educators — from zero to active
- Develop a webinar program, newsletter, and content engine on a predictable cadence
- Implement full attribution wiring across HubSpot, EduLead, and Gong so the revenue view is always live
Skills
- First or only marketing hire experience — you've built a function from scratch before
- Proven GTM systems builder — data in, automation in the middle, pipeline out
- Power user of Clay, Zapier, n8n, or Make
- Daily AI practitioner — Claude, ChatGPT, custom agents, AI inside HubSpot
- Hands-on with HubSpot and comfortable connecting it to everything else
- Experience marketing or selling SaaS to K-12, higher ed, or similar institutional buyers
- Full-stack operator: write copy, build sequences, ship landing pages, pull reports
- Measured on pipeline and revenue, not activity
- Deep EdTech background and K-12 procurement knowledge
- EduLead or Gong experience
- Community building from scratch
- Ability to write code when no-code is too slow
- Leveraging AI at scale in current role or project
