[Remote] Workday Integration Project Manager

They are seeking an IT Workday Integration Project Manager to oversee data integrations between Workday and third-party vendors, manage project scopes, and ensure timely delivery of data while mitigating risks.
Responsibilities
- Define Project Scope: Work with business users and the Global HR Transformation office to gather data integration requirements
- Build Project Plans: Create resource-loaded, activity-linked timelines detailing dependencies, risks, and critical path milestones
- Manage Budgets & Vendor SOWs: Ensure delivery conforms to the financial budgets outlined in the vendor Statements of Work (SOW)
- Lead Communication: Deliver status updates, escalate delivery bottlenecks, and manage stakeholder expectations across IT and executive teams
- Oversee Development: Guide the technical team through the design, build, and deployment of custom data pathways
- Enforce Workday Best Practices: Align configurations with native Workday frameworks, including Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB), Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday Studio
- Manage Downstream Systems: Coordinate technical mappings to external benefit providers, custom applications, and timekeeping systems like Kronos or QGenda
- Ensure Data Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to corporate data security, privacy laws, and IT auditing standards
- Coordinate QA/UAT Testing: Manage End-to-End (E2E) integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business teams
- Troubleshoot Technical Errors: Address data transformation issues, system failures, and API connection errors
- Handle Upgrades: Manage testing schedules during semi-annual Workday release cycles to ensure integrations stay unbroken
Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent fields
- Usually 3 to 10 years managing technology-driven IT or ERP implementations
- Expert-level mastery of Agile, Scrum, and traditional Waterfall project delivery structures
- In-depth knowledge of EIBs, RaaS (Report-as-a-Service), Workday Web Services, and Workday Studio
- Deep understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), REST/SOAP APIs, XML, and XSLT transformation logic
- Experience migrating data or bridging connections between Workday and platforms like SAP or Oracle
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or direct Workday Certification (e.g., Workday Integration Core, Workday Pro)
