[Remote] QA Engineer

They are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and usability of software applications throughout the development lifecycle, collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases based on business requirements and acceptance criteria
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using Jira
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Project Managers to reproduce and resolve issues
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Validate completed user stories against acceptance criteria before release
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to software quality and testing processes
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing using tools such as BrowserStack
- Support API testing efforts when required using tools such as Postman
- Ensure clear and comprehensive test documentation and bug reports
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Experience performing manual testing for web and/or mobile applications
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience using Jira for defect tracking and test management
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Upper-Intermediate English level (B2) or higher, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams
- Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Experience using BrowserStack or similar cross-browser testing platforms
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks
- Knowledge of performance, security, or accessibility testing principles
- Experience testing responsive web applications and mobile applications
