[Remote] Development Accounting Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PeakMade Real Estate is seeking a Development Accounting Manager to support their Construction & Development and Accounts Payable teams. This full-time role involves managing multiple construction project accounts, tracking costs, and preparing financial statements while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Account for multiple construction projects
  • Responsibilities include tracking all project costs, communicating with the development and operations team regarding budgeted or upcoming costs, submitting draw requests, managing cash, reviewing contracts/legal documents, and preparing projects financial statements
  • Track pursuit costs on the corporate side as well as assist with preparing corporate's consolidated financial statements
  • Review and assist property development accounting associate with construction projects
  • Implement and document new processes as it relates to the accounting department
  • Communicate with vendors, project managers, ownership, lenders, and team members
  • Ensure all payments made are following Certificate of Insurance requirements
  • Research and respond to inquiries regarding invoices and payments

  • Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in Sage, CMIC, and Netsuite is a plus
