[Remote] Technical Program Manager

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead execution across complex, cross-functional technical initiatives powering Team USA and LA28’s fan data ecosystem. This role involves planning, coordination, and delivery of critical platform initiatives across various teams and external vendors to ensure successful implementation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of complex technical initiatives across fan data platforms
  • Build and manage integrated program plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines
  • Coordinate execution across engineering, architecture, product, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Ensure technical initiatives are delivered on time and with high quality
  • Drive the vision of scaling platforms from MVP to enterprise-ready capabilities
  • Identify and actively manage cross-platform dependencies
  • Surface delivery risks early, document risks, and drives mitigation strategies
  • Manage issue resolution across multiple technical teams
  • Maintain visibility into delivery health across all active workstreams
  • Translate product requirements into executable delivery plans with technical teams
  • Partner with architecture and engineering leads to sequence technical implementation effectively
  • Ensure technical readiness for launches, integrations, and platform releases
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and release planning
  • Facilitate discussions on architecture trade-offs (e.g., batch vs real-time processing, identity resolution approaches) and effectively partner with development, architecture teams and business stakeholders
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to provide updates, adjust due dates, and define scope
  • Establish program governance frameworks, rituals, and reporting mechanisms
  • Improve execution processes across intake, planning, sprint alignment, and roadmap tracking
  • Create transparency for leadership through regular status reporting and escalation management
  • Drive intake, prioritization, and sequencing of work across platforms, partnering with product and engineering to align roadmap decisions with delivery capacity and dependencies
  • Manage technical execution with external platform vendors and implementation partners
  • Track deliverables, dependencies, and timelines across third parties
  • Ensure accountability across all implementation stakeholders
  • Lead and develop direct reports while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and growth opportunities for team members across technical and operational disciplines
  • Influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority to drive alignment, execution, and decision-making
  • Build strong working relationships across product, engineering, marketing, analytics, legal, and external partners
  • Act as a calm and effective leader through complex, fast-moving, and high-visibility initiatives
  • Champion operational discipline, transparency, and proactive communication across all active programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with a preferred emphasis in Sports Management, Business Administration, Communications or Economics or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of technical program management experience
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale platform implementations
  • Strong understanding of: Data platforms, APIs and integrations, Customer data ecosystems, Technical delivery lifecycles
  • Exceptional organizational and execution management skills
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical dependencies
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including active listening, effective questioning, and problem-solving
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in sensitive matters
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and operationally
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Appreciation for the Olympic and Paralympic Movement and the power of sport
  • Preferred experience with martech / customer data ecosystems
  • Familiarity with: Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Snowflake, Identity resolution systems, Data pipeline orchestration, Privacy and consent frameworks, End-to-end delivery across the full data lifecycle, Experience working with external system integrators and vendors
