We are currently expanding our virtual team and are seeking a meticulous, tech‑savvy individual to join us as a Remote Data Entry Associate. This full‑time, 100 % remote position offers a structured Monday‑through‑Friday schedule (9 am – 6 pm PST) and the opportunity to contribute to critical data pipelines that support healthcare, finance, and other regulated industries.

Why Choose arenaflex?

At arenaflex, you will become part of a collaborative, inclusive culture that values accuracy, continuous learning, and employee well‑being. Our remote‑first philosophy means you receive the tools, training, and support you need to thrive without ever stepping foot in a traditional office. Whether you are looking to sharpen your data‑handling skills, advance toward supervisory roles, or simply enjoy a stable, rewarding career from home, arenaflex provides a clear pathway for growth.

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Entry Associate, you will be the backbone of our data‑management operations. Your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Document Preparation: Gather, organize, and preprocess source documents—both paper‑based and digital—ensuring they are ready for entry into the designated database.
  • Data Verification: Conduct thorough reviews of incoming data for missing pages, illegible text, or inconsistencies, and resolve issues using established protocols or by escalating to the team leader.
  • Accurate Entry: Input alphabetic and numeric information from source documents into the appropriate system with a focus on speed and precision.
  • Quality Assurance: Cross‑check entered data against original documents, correct errors, eliminate duplicates, and maintain a high level of data integrity.
  • Security Compliance: Follow all data‑security policies, including HIPAA regulations, to protect personal and financial information at all times.
  • Backup Management: Perform daily database backups, ensuring that all information is securely stored and recoverable.
  • Clerical Support: Execute ancillary tasks such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading to keep the workflow smooth and efficient.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest process enhancements, participate in training sessions, and adopt new tools that increase productivity and data quality.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
  • At least six (6) months of hands‑on experience in data entry, document processing, or a related administrative function.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and familiarity with data‑entry platforms.
  • Strong computer literacy—ability to navigate multiple applications, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and adapt quickly to new software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a proven track record of delivering error‑free work.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
  • U.S. residency and eligibility to work legally in the United States.

Preferred Experience & Skills

While not mandatory, the following experiences and competencies will set you apart from other applicants:

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare‑related data environment, providing familiarity with HIPAA compliance.
  • Exposure to electronic health record (EHR) systems, billing software, or other regulated data platforms.
  • Knowledge of data‑validation techniques and familiarity with quality‑control checklists.
  • Ability to type at least 60 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the capacity to prioritize multiple document queues simultaneously.
  • Self‑motivation and discipline to thrive in a fully remote setting, maintaining consistent productivity without direct supervision.

Core Competencies

Success in this role hinges on a blend of technical aptitude and soft skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to spot patterns, detect anomalies, and make quick, data‑driven decisions.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Commitment to safeguarding sensitive information and adhering to privacy regulations.
  • Communication: Clear, concise written communication for documenting discrepancies and interacting with team members.
  • Time Management: Efficiently manage work hours, meet daily entry targets, and respect deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with evolving processes, new software tools, and shifting priorities.
  • Team Collaboration: Willingness to support peers, share best practices, and contribute to a positive virtual workplace culture.

arenaflex invests heavily in employee development. As a Remote Data Entry Associate, you will have access to:

  • Structured onboarding and ongoing training modules covering data security, advanced entry techniques, and industry‑specific terminology.
  • Opportunities to cross‑train in related functions such as data validation, records management, and client support.
  • Clear career pathways leading to senior data specialist, team lead, or quality‑assurance supervisor positions.
  • Mentorship programs pairing you with experienced professionals who can guide your professional growth.
  • Regular performance reviews that identify strengths, set development goals, and recognize achievements.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package that reflects the importance of accuracy and reliability in data handling. While exact salary ranges will be discussed during the interview process, candidates can expect:

  • Base hourly wage commensurate with experience, with potential performance‑based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
