Engineer - Maintenance Programs

United Airlines has a strong Technical Operations team responsible for maintaining their fleet of aircraft. The Maintenance Programs Engineer will provide engineering support to develop maintenance programs that enhance safety and efficiency while collaborating with engineering teams to mitigate technical failures and ensure operational reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Develops maintenance programs solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, and overall management of project implementation
  • Organizes and manages the priorities for assigned responsibilities and accomplishes the work process to meet all deliverable for aircraft projects
  • Coordinates work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiency

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience
  • Engineering, or technical field
  • Engineer I: Entry (0) - 3 years' experience
  • Engineer II: 3-5 years' experience
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues, detailed level of project management for regulatory compliance modifications
  • Excellent verbal and technical writing skills needed
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
