Job Title Senior Local SEO Manager (Home Services) Location Remote Time Zone US Time Zones (EST–PST) Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Local SEO Manager with deep home-services experience to own and scale organic growth for a portfolio of service-based businesses across the US. This role is ideal for someone who has spent years in the trenches of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, cleaning, or similar industries and understands exactly what drives map pack rankings, inbound calls, and booked jobs. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with clear ownership across local SEO strategy, Google Business Profile optimization, service-area SEO, content direction, and technical fundamentals. Candidates without direct home-services or service-based SEO experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Own local SEO strategy and execution for multiple home-services clients Build and manage SEO roadmaps focused on rankings, leads, and local visibility Drive consistent Google Business Profile performance across competitive service areas Lead scalable SEO processes, QA checks, and reporting standards Stay current on Google updates, local ranking factors, AI-influenced search trends, and E-E-A-T for service businesses Local SEO & Google Business Profile (GBP) Optimize GBPs for service-area and hybrid businesses Improve rankings across primary cities and surrounding service areas Manage categories, services, attributes, citations, media, and trust signals Support sustained map pack visibility in competitive metro markets Content Strategy & Oversight Build and review content strategies for service pages, city pages, and blogs Create SEO briefs aligned with local intent and lead generation Ensure content quality, local relevance, and conversion effectiveness Collaborate with human and AI-assisted writers while maintaining standards Technical SEO & Authority Building Conduct technical SEO audits (indexation, crawlability, internal linking, CWV awareness) Work with WordPress and development teams to implement fixes Coordinate local link building, citations, and authority-building efforts Required Qualifications 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience with direct home-services or service-based industry exposure Proven success improving local SEO and GBP rankings for service-area businesses Experience in competitive metro markets and multi-location SEO environments Strong WordPress experience (on-page and technical implementation) Solid technical SEO fundamentals and reporting capabilities Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities effectively Non-negotiable: Prior professional remote work experience, fluency with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana or similar), and experience supporting US- or UK-based teams. Candidates without this background will not be considered.
