Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Enterprise Data Storage Administrator who will work remotely from the comfort of their home. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the health, performance, and security of arenaflex’s storage environments, while also providing reliable data entry support to internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain enterprise‑wide data storage systems, including NAS, SAN, and DAS solutions.
  • Implement and enforce data protection and backup strategies to safeguard critical business information.
  • Perform routine health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with application, database, server, and networking teams to design storage solutions that meet performance and scalability requirements.
  • Document daily operational procedures, incident reports, and configuration changes with clarity and precision.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex tasks such as system provisioning, configuration, and disaster‑recovery operations.
  • Apply patches, firmware updates, and security fixes to storage hardware and associated software components.
  • Utilize Windows and Linux operating system knowledge to troubleshoot cross‑platform storage issues.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Fundamental understanding of enterprise data storage concepts, including RAID levels, LUN provisioning, and storage tiering.
  • Hands‑on experience with storage hardware such as servers, LAN/SAN switches, and disk arrays.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms, particularly VMware vSphere, and the ability to manage virtualized storage resources.
  • Knowledge of network file system protocols (CIFS/SMB, NFS) and object storage interfaces (S3).
  • Basic proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating systems for storage administration tasks.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise documentation.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Storage+, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
