As part of arenaflex’s commitment to continuous improvement, we are expanding our leadership team with a senior‑level role that blends strategic vision, data‑driven analysis, and hands‑on operational excellence.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse & Analytics to lead a high‑impact, fully remote team responsible for detecting, mitigating, and preventing malicious behavior across the arenaflex platform. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $24 and a flexible work‑from‑home arrangement, while providing the strategic influence and resources of a world‑class technology company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a multi‑year roadmap for adversarial abuse detection, integrating product, engineering, and policy initiatives.
  • Team Management: Build, mentor, and scale two core sub‑teams – the Adversarial Abuse Operations team and the Business Analytics team – fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
  • Risk Identification: Anticipate emerging threats (e.g., AI‑generated spam, coordinated account takeovers) and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Policy, Global Operations, and Strategy teams to embed safety signals into product design and rollout processes.
  • Data‑Driven Insight: Oversee the collection, analysis, and visualization of large‑scale datasets to surface abuse trends, quantify impact, and inform executive decision‑making.
  • Reporting & Transparency: Produce clear, actionable reports for internal stakeholders and external regulators, ensuring compliance with global policy standards.
  • Rapid Incident Response: Lead on‑call rotations and coordinate swift responses to high‑severity abuse incidents, including weekend and holiday coverage.
  • Innovation Enablement: Champion the development of machine‑learning models and automated tooling that enhance detection accuracy while reducing false positives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex technical findings to non‑technical audiences, translating data into strategic recommendations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading risk‑mitigation or abuse‑prevention initiatives at scale.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering data‑centric solutions that influence product and policy decisions.
  • Hands‑on experience with large‑scale data pipelines, statistical analysis, and machine‑learning model development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage distributed teams across multiple time zones, including weekend on‑call rotations.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the capacity to build relationships across cross‑functional partners.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Expertise

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Computer Science, or Information Science.
  • Experience analyzing massive datasets to uncover anomalies, fraud patterns, or policy violations.
  • Background in adversarial abuse research, content moderation, or online safety initiatives.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or MATLAB for data extraction, transformation, and modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based analytics platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake) and visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated business acumen: ability to translate analytical insights into strategic actions that drive measurable safety improvements.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and propose data‑backed solutions.
  • Leadership & People Management: Experience hiring, coaching, and retaining top talent in fast‑moving environments.
  • Technical Fluency: Comfortable discussing algorithmic concepts, data architecture, and system scalability with engineers.
  • Strategic Vision: Capacity to anticipate future abuse vectors and shape long‑term safety roadmaps.
  • Collaboration: Proven success partnering with product, policy, legal, and external regulatory bodies.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, high‑growth setting where priorities shift rapidly.
