Your work ensures that every piece of cargo, mail, and equipment is accurately logged, safely handled, and delivered on time—directly supporting the punctual departure of flights and the overall safety of our operations. This part‑time, remote‑friendly position offers a steady $20 per hour rate and a flexible schedule that fits a variety of lifestyles.

  • Coordinate the loading, unloading, and transfer of freight and supplies between aircraft, ground vehicles, and storage facilities.
  • Generate and submit Cargo Build Load Slips (CBLS) electronically or physically to the Operations Specialist as required.
  • Inspect freight and cargo for accuracy, report discrepancies, and resolve issues in collaboration with the logistics team.
  • Protect customer property, cargo, and mail from weather, theft, damage, or loss by following established handling procedures.
  • Operate jetway stairs and other ground support equipment to move items safely between the terminal and aircraft.
  • Perform routine interior aircraft cleaning tasks, including upholstery, windows, galleys, and lavatories, according to standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with provisioning duties—loading cabin supplies, catering items, and other equipment—while maintaining inventory records.
  • Operate and maintain ground support equipment such as belt loaders, push‑back tractors, lift trucks, and de‑icing units.
  • Communicate effectively with pilots, dispatchers, freight handlers, and external partners via radio and verbal channels.
  • Complete required paperwork and digital entries promptly to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Adapt to varying shift patterns and station assignments, providing support wherever the need arises.
  • Participate in ongoing safety training, achieving a minimum 90 % pass rate on the Ramp Specialist certification program.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in logistics, aviation, business administration, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with data‑entry systems or ERP platforms.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Safety Awareness: Understanding of hazardous conditions and the ability to respond appropriately to emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Certification in aviation ground handling or logistics (e.g., IATA, FAA).
  • Experience operating ground support equipment such as belt loaders, push‑back tractors, or de‑icing trucks.
  • Knowledge of cargo handling regulations and airline safety standards.
  • Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, to assist a diverse passenger and partner base.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot discrepancies and propose corrective actions.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: Accurate data entry and meticulous handling of cargo are critical to flight safety.
  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to quickly identify issues, think on your feet, and implement effective solutions.
  • Time Management: Prioritize tasks to meet tight turnaround times while maintaining quality standards.
