About the Role: Senior Corporate Travel Management Specialist

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Corporate Travel Management Specialist to serve as the primary expert for Travel Management Company (TMC) business relationships at arenaflex. This position offers a unique opportunity to work independently, exercise significant judgment, and drive consistent revenue growth through strategic partnerships with corporate clients. As a key player in our commercial team, you'll play a crucial role in expanding arenaflex's presence in the corporate travel market.

This is a remote position offering competitive compensation at $26 per hour, with full-time hours (8 hours per day) based in the San Francisco area. You'll have the flexibility to work from your preferred location while making a significant impact on our corporate travel operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic TMC Partnership Development: Serve as the primary expert for TMC business at arenaflex, building and nurturing strategic relationships that drive business travel experiences for our corporate clients.
  • Revenue Optimization: Exercise independent judgment to manage pricing, cost analysis, and negotiations of all TMC agreements with the goal of achieving maximum market share and yield in individual markets.
  • Contract Management: Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to develop and execute contract negotiation strategies that protect arenaflex's interests while creating value for our partners.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor revenue, discounts, and contract execution to ensure compliance with targets and maintain profitability across all TMC relationships.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with corporate sales objectives, ensuring arenaflex is competitively positioned in the marketplace.
  • Business Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, relationship building, and strategic market analysis.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and revenue management teams to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment on corporate travel initiatives.
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze reporting and metrics to identify trends, develop strategies, and ensure arenaflex maintains optimal positioning in the corporate travel market.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track revenue, commissions, and contract execution to ensure maximum revenue and share goals are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Resource Optimization: Effectively manage time and resources to maximize revenue opportunities at the most efficient cost for arenaflex.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree OR two additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales, with a focus on corporate travel management or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Legal Requirements: Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Previous airline industry experience is highly valued.
  • Reporting Tools: Familiarity with travel industry reporting sources such as Curve and Crystal.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal abilities with the capacity to drive results to benefit of the organization.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to establish cooperative relationships across different teams and workgroups.
