Institutional Client Service Representative Job Details | New York Life Insurance Co

They are seeking an Institutional Client Service Representative to support institutional clients by ensuring accurate trade processing, resolving service-related issues, and providing high-quality client support.

Responsibilities

  • Process annuity requests for Group Annuity contracts in accordance with contractual provisions
  • Process Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) requests
  • Handle inbound/outbound calls from the customer service lines, responding to both institutional and individual annuitant inquiries
  • Provide up to date information for Institutional clients including pricing, interest calculations, account balances, audit inquiries, annuity quote request and information for tax filings
  • Establish and maintain high quality internal and external customer relationships – assessing and responding to their needs effectively
  • Develop an understanding of operational procedures as well as company, industry and regulatory policies and be able to communicate with clients regarding these matters
  • Learn and maintain a strong working knowledge of multiple applications, products and services
  • Maintain files in accordance with company business policies
  • Provide support to Stable Value Service group

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills required to effectively manage a diverse workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a high volume, fast paced call center environment
  • Must be result oriented and a team player
  • Ability to adapt quickly and remain effective in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical industry knowledge to day-to-day issues and leverage technology for improved service delivery
  • Flexible and resilient in a changing environment
  • Willingness to assist with department initiatives and cross-functional projects, contributing subject matter expertise and insights
  • General knowledge of Group Annuity Contracts and/or Stable Value Contracts a plus
  • General knowledge of Pension Plans (Defined Benefit/Contribution) a plus
