Remote Senior Logistics Coordinator

Our client, a rapidly expanding player in the e-commerce and retail sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This role is crucial for optimizing the movement of goods, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring the seamless execution of supply chain operations across the nation. As a remote-first position, you will have the autonomy to manage your workday effectively from your home office. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics, including freight scheduling, carrier selection, and shipment tracking. Develop and implement efficient transportation strategies to minimize costs and delivery times. Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers. Monitor shipment status and proactively address any issues or delays to ensure on-time delivery. Utilize logistics software and technology to track inventory, manage shipments, and generate reports. Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings opportunities. Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and documentation requirements. Communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., sales, operations, customer service) and external partners regarding logistics activities. Assist in the development and implementation of logistics policies and procedures. Handle claims processing and resolution for damaged or lost shipments. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation management, or a similar role. Demonstrated experience managing domestic transportation and working with various modes (LTL, FTL, Parcel). Proficiency in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics software. Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with carriers and stakeholders. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of supply chain principles. Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space conducive to productive work.
