Why This Role Matters

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist within arenaflex’s pharmacy division, you will be at the heart of the prescription fulfillment process. Your work ensures that every patient’s medication record is accurate, compliant, and ready for safe dispensing. This position is more than data entry—it is a critical safety net that supports pharmacists, enhances the customer experience, and upholds the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize arenaflex’s pharmacy management system to capture patient and medication information with 99.9% accuracy.
  • Enter prescription details, verify drug strengths, dosage instructions, and potential drug‑drug interactions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Assist in the preparation of prescription labels, ensuring correct patient identifiers, medication names, and usage instructions.
  • Process and reconcile cash register transactions for over‑the‑counter sales, maintaining precise cash handling records.
  • Respond to inbound calls that do not require pharmacist intervention, such as refill requests, insurance verifications, and general inquiries.
  • Support inventory management by logging received medication shipments, documenting discrepancies, and assisting with stock replenishment.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to identify and correct prescription errors promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant virtual workspace, adhering to arenaflex’s privacy and security policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training modules, certification programs, and continuing education to stay current with pharmacy regulations and best practices.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve the overall patient experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (required for all U.S. locations).
  • High school diploma or GED; additional coursework in health sciences, business administration, or related fields is a plus.
  • Strong numerical aptitude with the ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh medication quantities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data entry platforms.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while adhering to scheduled work hours (8 hours per day).
  • Basic understanding of pharmacy law, federal and state regulations, and the role of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months or more of retail or pharmacy‑related experience, preferably within a high‑volume environment.
  • Previous experience with arenaflex or a comparable pharmacy chain.
  • Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or progress toward certification.
  • Experience with inventory management software and knowledge of stock control procedures.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to resolve inquiries and create a positive patient experience.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and best practices for protecting patient health information.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Accuracy & Precision: Ability to enter complex prescription data without errors.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication for interacting with patients, pharmacists, and team members.
  • Problem‑Solving: Quick identification of discrepancies and proactive resolution.
  • Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks to meet daily processing targets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort with pharmacy software, data entry tools, and remote collaboration platforms.
