Position Overview: Remote Data Entry Specialist – Live Chat Support

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will serve as a critical link in our customer experience ecosystem. This dual-role position combines the precision of data management with the interpersonal skills required for live chat customer support. You will be responsible for processing, categorizing, and analyzing customer feedback data while simultaneously engaging with customers through our live chat platform to ensure their inquiries are resolved with the highest level of professionalism and care.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in a remote environment, demonstrate exceptional typing speed and accuracy, possess strong written communication skills, and have a genuine passion for helping others. This role reports to our Customer Listening Team leadership and offers a competitive hourly rate of $35/hour, with flexible scheduling options and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Processing and Entry: Accurately input, update, and maintain customer data across multiple internal platforms, ensuring all information is captured correctly and in a timely manner. This includes processing survey responses, customer feedback forms, and interaction logs that feed into our broader customer experience analytics.
  • Live Chat Customer Support: Serve as a frontline representative responding to customer inquiries through our live chat platform. Provide courteous, professional, and solution-oriented responses while maintaining response time standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Quality Assurance: Review your own work and participate in peer review processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Identify and flag any inconsistencies or anomalies in customer data for further investigation.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product owners, data analysts, and technology teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data entry tasks and customer support protocols.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline data entry processes, reduce manual effort through automation where possible, and enhance the overall efficiency of the customer listening function.
  • Survey and Feedback Management: Assist in the design, deployment, and management of customer experience surveys across more than 40 studies, translated into over 10 languages and deployed in more than 20 countries.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate regular reports on data entry accuracy, customer chat volume, resolution rates, and other key performance indicators. Maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Adherence to Compliance Standards: Ensure all data handling practices comply with company policies, data protection regulations, and industry best practices regarding customer privacy and information security.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new tools, technologies, and methodologies that can enhance data management and customer support delivery. Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

  • Educational Background: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Typing Proficiency: Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute (WPM) with a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy under time pressure.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of professional experience in data entry, customer service, administrative support, or a related field. Experience with live chat or digital customer support is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms. Basic understanding of data management principles and database navigation.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written communication abilities with strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to convey empathy, professionalism, and clarity in written interactions.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work outputs.

  • Agile Methodology Familiarity: Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and how incremental product releases work in practice is beneficial.
  • Big Data Exposure: Familiarity with Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, or Python is advantageous, though not required for this specific role.
  • Customer Experience Surveys: Prior experience working with survey platforms such as Qualtrics or similar tools is a strong differentiator.
  • Financial Services Background: Experience in banking, financial services, or payment processing industries is preferred but not mandatory.
