About arenaflex

arenaflex is a leading provider of logistics, moving solutions, and transportation services across North America. With a heritage that dates back to the post‑World War II era, arenaflex has grown from a modest fleet of rental trailers into a diversified family of brands that empower millions of customers each year to move their lives, businesses, and belongings with confidence. Our commitment to innovation, safety, and community well‑being drives every aspect of our operations, and our Risk Management team plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization’s assets, reputation, and the people we serve.

As part of arenaflex’s ongoing investment in talent development, we are offering a structured internship that provides real‑world exposure to risk assessment, data governance, and operational resilience. This internship is designed for ambitious students who are eager to translate classroom knowledge into actionable insights while contributing to a mission‑critical function within a dynamic, fast‑growing company.

Why This Internship Matters

Risk management is the backbone of any successful enterprise. At arenaflex, the Risk Management department collaborates closely with finance, operations, compliance, and technology teams to identify potential threats, evaluate their impact, and develop mitigation strategies that protect our customers, employees, and shareholders. As a Risk Management Data Entry Intern, you will become an integral part of this ecosystem, ensuring that the data that fuels our risk analyses is accurate, complete, and readily accessible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and update risk‑related data—including assessment scores, mitigation actions, and incident reports—into arenaflex’s risk management information system (RMIS) and supporting spreadsheets.
  • Maintain and organize risk documentation, such as policy manuals, audit findings, and corrective action plans, ensuring version control and easy retrieval.
  • Collaborate with risk analysts, auditors, and business unit leaders to verify data integrity across multiple platforms, flagging inconsistencies and recommending corrective steps.
  • Conduct routine data quality checks, perform root‑cause analysis of discrepancies, and document remediation actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of risk dashboards, monthly status reports, and executive summaries by aggregating data and generating visualizations.
  • Support ad‑hoc projects, including risk workshops, training material updates, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in cross‑functional meetings to gain a holistic understanding of how risk data influences strategic decision‑making at arenaxflex.
  • Provide administrative support to the Risk Management team, such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and tracking action items.

Essential Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program related to Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a comparable field.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with a proven track record of delivering error‑free work in academic or prior internship settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data visualization).
  • Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear documentation and effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative while respecting established processes.
  • Genuine interest in risk management, compliance, or related disciplines, and a willingness to learn industry‑specific terminology and tools.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO) or exposure to risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience with data‑entry or data‑analysis tools beyond Excel, such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
  • Previous internship or part‑time experience in a corporate environment, especially within finance, operations, or compliance.
  • Understanding of basic statistical concepts and the ability to interpret data trends.
  • Exposure to project management principles or participation in student‑run consulting projects.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to scrutinize data, spot patterns, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Respect for sensitive information and adherence to data‑privacy standards.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders, from senior risk officers to frontline staff.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment and quickly adjust to new tools or processes.
  • Continuous Learning: Proactive in seeking knowledge, asking insightful questions, and applying feedback.
