About arenaflex – Pioneering Compassionate Autism Services

arenaflex is a nationally recognized provider of evidence‑based autism services, delivering personalized support to children and families across multiple states. Since our founding in 2014, we have built a reputation for combining clinical excellence with heartfelt compassion. Our mission is to empower individuals on the autism spectrum to achieve meaningful independence while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with their families. As a growing organization, arenaflex invests heavily in professional development, innovative therapeutic approaches, and a culture that celebrates diversity, curiosity, and continuous learning.

Why This Role Matters

Children on the autism spectrum thrive when they receive consistent, high‑quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in familiar environments. As a Behavioral Technician, you will be a critical member of the therapeutic team, delivering one‑on‑one, in‑home ABA services that directly impact a child’s skill acquisition, behavior management, and overall quality of life. This position offers a unique blend of hands‑on clinical work, data‑driven decision making, and collaborative problem solving under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Program Highlights – Accelerated Hiring & Paid Training

arenaflex’s Accelerated Hiring Program is designed to fast‑track motivated individuals into rewarding careers in ABA. The program includes:

  • Comprehensive, paid ABA training that covers core principles, data collection techniques, and session planning.
  • Mentorship from experienced BCBAs who provide real‑time feedback and support.
  • Opportunities to earn industry certifications such as the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, especially for after‑school sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one‑on‑one (1:1) in‑home ABA therapy sessions tailored to each child’s individualized treatment plan.
  • Accurately collect and record behavior and skill acquisition data during each session, ensuring fidelity to the treatment protocol.
  • Implement discrete trial training, behavior support strategies, and other evidence‑based interventions as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collaborate closely with the assigned BCBA to review data, adjust interventions, and refine teaching procedures.
  • Maintain open, respectful communication with families, responding promptly to questions, concerns, and progress updates.
  • Demonstrate professionalism by arriving on time, preparing materials in advance, and adhering to ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular supervision meetings, case reviews, and ongoing training sessions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or progress toward a degree) in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year working with children in a 1:1 setting, including at least one year of direct ABA experience. Candidates without formal ABA experience may qualify if they have 1–2 years as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism support staff, Teacher’s Assistant, or ABA tutor.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to convey information clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Transportation: Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel to client homes.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Assets

  • Current or pending RBT certification, or willingness to pursue certification with arenaflex support.
  • Experience with Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans (CBIP) for youth and families.
  • Familiarity with data‑driven decision making and basic statistical concepts.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, such as participation in university partnerships, supervision, practicum, or mentoring programs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet client scheduling needs.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Strong observational skills to detect subtle changes in behavior and skill acquisition.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children on the autism spectrum.
  • Organizational ability to manage session materials, data sheets, and documentation efficiently.
  • Physical stamina to engage in activities that may require kneeling, squatting, lifting up to 35 lbs, and moving quickly within a 100‑foot radius.
  • Adaptability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, adjusting to varying client home settings.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs safely.
  • Capability to perform fine and gross motor tasks, including bending, kneeling, squatting, and sitting on the floor or in a chair.
