Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, self‑motivated Remote Data Entry Specialist to join our growing team of pharmacy support professionals. In this role, you will be the backbone of patient enrollment and medication data management, ensuring that every piece of information entered into our systems is accurate, compliant with HIPAA regulations, and ready for seamless pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize arenaflex’s proprietary data‑entry platforms to accurately capture patient enrollment information, prescription details, and medication refill requests.
  • Process high‑volume inbound calls, chats, and emails from patients, prescribers, and third‑party payers, providing courteous and knowledgeable assistance.
  • Interpret and enter complex clinical abbreviations (SIG codes) and resolve missing or incomplete medication data by conducting thorough investigations.
  • Manage “outside oddball” cases—unusual or incomplete orders—by reviewing, correcting, and resubmitting them according to established protocols.
  • Coordinate with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and other clinical staff to ensure timely resolution of patient inquiries and order fulfillment.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and arenaflex privacy standards while handling protected health information (PHI).
  • Document all interactions and data changes in the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring audit‑ready compliance.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior staff when necessary, providing clear and concise summaries of the problem and steps taken.
  • Achieve and maintain certification or licensure required for the role within the first 90 days, and keep it current throughout employment.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic computer proficiency: ability to start/shut down a PC, navigate using a mouse, open/close applications, save and print documents, and browse the internet.
  • Fundamental web‑search skills, including entering URLs, using bookmarks, and navigating web pages efficiently.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM with reasonable accuracy; ability to type from memory and organize data quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly to patients and team members.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a pharmacy‑related environment, preferably in a retail or call‑center setting.
  • Experience with state‑mandated pharmacy enrollment or certification processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to advanced typing speed of 35 WPM or higher.
