About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of Content Creation

arenaflex is a global leader in entertainment technology, delivering cutting‑edge solutions that empower creators, studios, and audiences worldwide. Our mission is to transform the way stories are told, distributed, and experienced by leveraging data‑driven insights, innovative platforms, and a culture of relentless curiosity. As part of the Content & Business Products (CBP) division, the Studio Data Management team plays a pivotal role in shaping the data ecosystem that fuels every stage of the content lifecycle—from concept to screen.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s fast‑moving media landscape, accurate, timely, and well‑governed data is the lifeblood of successful production pipelines. As the Data Lead, you will be the strategic architect and operational champion of arenaflex’s data assets, ensuring that every stakeholder—from product managers to engineers—has the information they need to make informed decisions, accelerate innovation, and deliver world‑class entertainment experiences. This is a unique opportunity to influence both the tactical execution of data initiatives and the broader strategic direction of data governance across a high‑growth, remote‑first organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Road‑Mapping: Develop near‑term and long‑term roadmaps for studio data needs, translating business objectives into actionable data‑product plans and quarterly deliverables.
  • Data Stewardship & Advocacy: Serve as the primary data subject‑matter expert across the studio, partnering with product owners, engineers, designers, and senior leadership to define, prioritize, and execute data‑related initiatives.
  • Metrics Definition & Documentation: Collaborate with product and data science teams to design, build, and document key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide visibility into data‑product health, usage, and impact.
  • Process Automation & Scaling: Independently design and implement scalable processes for data product delivery, including automated pipelines, data quality checks, and governance frameworks.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross‑functional data product projects that support product development and enhance foundational data infrastructure, delivering clear business impact, timelines, and risk assessments.
  • Stakeholder Management: Balance competing stakeholder requests, negotiate priorities, and maintain alignment across diverse teams to ensure seamless execution of data initiatives.
  • Support & Enablement: Act as the first point of contact for data‑related support tickets, providing timely, empathetic assistance to both technical and non‑technical users.
  • Process Improvement & Documentation: Partner with business teams to champion best‑in‑class data practices, develop comprehensive documentation, and drive continuous improvement across the data lifecycle.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in data management, working with relational databases, data warehouses, or content management systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical acumen with the ability to synthesize large‑scale data sets, identify patterns, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Deep understanding of workflow optimization and the ability to pinpoint inefficiencies within complex production pipelines.
  • Broad knowledge of the pitch‑to‑play content lifecycle, including acquisition, production, post‑production, and distribution phases.
  • Familiarity with data lifecycle concepts, data governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Exceptional time‑management and project‑management skills, capable of juggling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable language for diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a rapidly evolving, remote‑first environment.
  • Proficiency with productivity suites (e.g., Google Workspace) and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, cloud‑based database tools).

Preferred (Additive) Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Track record of collaborating with product, engineering, and customer‑support teams to deliver data‑centric solutions.
  • Background in studio operations, film distribution, or related entertainment business functions.
  • Experience working within a studio, distributor, production house, agency, or other entertainment‑focused organization.
