Position Overview

The Tutor Center Operations Manager is the operational heartbeat of our Chattanooga learning centers. Reporting to the Center Director, you will oversee daily activities, nurture relationships with families, coach instructional staff, and ensure that every student experiences high‑quality, personalized math instruction. This role requires flexibility to split time between our Hamilton County locations in Chattanooga and Hixson, adapting to the needs of each center while maintaining consistent standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of day‑to‑day center functions, including scheduling, facility upkeep, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Team Recruitment & Development: Screen, hire, train, and schedule tutors and support staff; provide ongoing coaching to enhance instructional delivery and professional growth.
  • Student Success Management: Oversee student assessments, identify learning gaps, and collaborate with tutors to design customized learning plans aligned with the arenaflex Method™.
  • Parent & Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, schools, and community partners; communicate progress reports and address concerns promptly.
  • Sales & Enrollment: Respond to inbound leads, conduct enrollment meetings, and drive conversion of prospects into active students, contributing to center profitability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics such as student retention, academic outcomes, and financial performance; implement data‑driven improvements.
  • Technology Integration: Become proficient with arenaflex’s digital learning platforms, assessment tools, and administrative software to streamline operations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated passion for mathematics and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities; capable of juggling multiple priorities with poise.
  • Proficiency in mathematics through at least Algebra I; ability to assess and discuss math concepts confidently.
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree—preferably in education, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Previous leadership or management experience in an educational or tutoring environment (preferred).
  • Experience in customer service, sales, or enrollment processes (preferred).
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new software platforms quickly.
  • Willingness to undergo a math literacy assessment, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

Work Schedule & Location

This full‑time role follows a hybrid schedule to support both centers:

  • Monday‑Thursday: 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM
  • Sunday: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
  • Occasional special events, community workshops, and parent‑teacher meetings as needed.

Primary work sites are the arenaflex locations in Chattanooga and Hixson, Hamilton County, Tennessee. The manager will rotate between sites based on operational demand and the needs of each Center Director.
