HR Investigator (EEO/Fair Employment)

Standard hours: 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility for earlier or later shifts based on business needs. Primarily remote, with occasional onsite requirements for training or meetings. Seeking HR Investigator with proven ability to conduct thorough investigations related to EEOC/TWC Charges, and Internal EEO, Title IX, and misconduct complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct timely and effective investigations, including intake, interviews, data analysis, resolution, report writing, and record-keeping, in compliance with EEOC, Title IX, and other relevant regulations.
  • Respond to and investigate claims of sexual misconduct, discrimination, retaliation, disruptive behavior, and other complaints.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and consultation to client groups and Human Resources on compliance issues, particularly regarding EEO and Title IX in Texas.
  • Work closely with the legal department when necessary, ensuring that all investigatory processes meet legal standards.
  • Facilitate and manage departmental and regulatory processes, including criminal background check self-disclosure.
  • Assist in developing, revising, and implementing policies and procedures in line with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree and/or PHR/SPHR certification.
  • 7 years of relevant HR experience, with significant investigative or legal background (experience may substitute education on a one-to-one basis).

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Title IX, EEOC, and employment law (experience specific to Texas preferred).
  • Proven experience in investigating and responding to EEOC/TWC external claims.
