Business Development Representative
Flywheel is a company that provides digital commerce solutions to accelerate growth for leading brands across major marketplaces. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to support sales growth in the North American and EMEA markets, focusing on lead generation and pipeline development for targeted brands.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for lead generation and pipeline growth for a specific territory of targeted brands
- Collate relevant and compelling insights to target different personas to ensure a high conversion of outreach efforts
- Actively prospect Tier 1 brands daily to develop a qualified new business pipeline, whilst maintaining existing communication streams and lead development
- Manage the initial part of the sales-cycle, efficiently coordinating discovery calls for Directors through creative outreach methods via email, LinkedIn, and calls
- Collaborate effectively with the relevant Business Development Directors to ensure a smooth transition
- Comprehensive understanding of the sales process with the ability to engage executives at different levels of the organization
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing campaigns, while providing the highest quality service to our potential clients
- Help promote networking events for Flywheel solutions and identify potential future clients
- Collaboration: Must work with multiple teams and groups within the organization, marketing, sales, customer growth, new business, etc
- Improving thought leadership: having a pulse and opinion on industry news, utilizing LinkedIn to build brand awareness and generate meaningful conversation in the industry
Skills
- 1+ years of sales experience, selling mid-market to enterprise solutions into large companies (CPG companies would be an asset)
- Comfortable having conversations with various stakeholders and leaders
- Sound adaptability with ongoing projects, outreach, business needs, etc
- Ability to reach and develop relationships with C-Level leadership or senior executives in your respective territory/accounts
- Highly motivated and possess a hunter mentality
- High attention to detail and can efficiently prioritize and execute projects with quality
- Strong communication skills, are naturally curious, and genuinely care about client outcomes
- Proven ability to deploy AI-powered automation across GTM workflows (lead routing, enrichment, follow-ups, task creation), CRM integrations (Salesforce), and Sales engagements
- Experience using AI for pipeline analysis, forecasting support, and deal risk identification
- Experience managing external relationships to meet mutually beneficial goals
- Solution-oriented and thrives in ambiguity – love figuring out solutions and processes to complex problems
- Comfortable analysing dashboards and utilizing spreadsheets with mastery of basic Excel formulas and pivot tables to extract and clearly communicate insights from murky data
- Bias for action with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and go the extra mile to get the job done
- Strong sense of ownership complemented by strong organizational and project management skills
- Team player with a genuine desire to contribute to the overall success of the entire team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate internally with colleagues
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to travel as needed
