Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments, site surveys, and deliver actionable recommendations to reduce loss exposure with focus on customer-centricity and our service model to form partnerships while mitigating risk
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and customers to develop tailored risk improvement strategies
  • Working with our distribution partners to help differentiate The Hartford in the marketplace
  • Leverage data analytics and digital tools to provide insights and predictive solutions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, educating clients on emerging risks and best practices
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives that integrate AI and human expertise for precision and speed

Skills

  • Background in risk engineering, safety, or related fields
  • Technical knowledge in risk control and industry standards
  • Strong consultative skills to market risk mitigation solutions
  • Self-starters who can independently manage a client service book across a designated territory
  • Technical writing proficiency to effectively communicate risk evaluation and mitigation measures to clients and underwriters
  • Ability to analyze data and tell a compelling story with insights
  • Proficiency with digital tools (dashboards, mobile apps, client platforms) and openness to emerging technologies
  • Customer-centric mindset and collaborative approach
  • Degree in engineering, safety, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Specialty expertise or multi-line experience
  • Certification in safety or risk management disciplines (such as CSP, CIH, CPCU, CFPS, ARM)
