Data Coordinator

Second Harvest is Canada’s largest food rescue organization, focused on perishable food recovery and redistribution to non-profits. The Data Coordinator will be responsible for the collection, maintenance, and reporting integrity of organizational data across various systems, collaborating with teams to apply best practices in data management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the integration and timely synchronization of multiple data sources, regularly importing, exporting, and cleaning lists
  • Coordinate and further systematize the collection, cleansing, and organization of data
  • Maintain data and database integrity
  • Collaborate with colleagues to fulfill organization-wide data reporting requests
  • Identify and provide recommendations for mitigating gaps in information and or systems; work collaboratively with the Data Management & Analytics team to strategize and recommend ways to further automate data processes and simplify data reporting
  • Support the development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of data collection and reporting processes
  • Support the efficient and accurate capturing and recording of information
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned to support the overall goals of the organization

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite products, with a very high level of proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Very strong keyboarding skills
  • Detail-Oriented: You are proud of your work and know that cutting corners isn't an option. You are thorough and accurate with strong data entry and data processing abilities
  • Organized: You have excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills
