Data Analyst - Claims
Co-operators is a leading Canadian financial services co-operative committed to sustainability. The Data Analyst role involves analyzing data to solve business problems and providing insights to support the Claims team in achieving business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Autonomously perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis using recommended methods (ex: regression, cohort analysis, cluster analysis, A/B testing, factor analysis)
- Design and develop metrics to enable descriptive analysis and diagnostic analysis
- Autonomously design proof of concept and deliver with guidance a prototype analytical solution to enable effective storytelling and descriptive/diagnostic analysis
- Work on Data querying (T-SQL, SQL, MySQL, etc.)
- Extract, clean, reconcile and prepare the data required for the analysis
- Autonomously communicate findings to colleagues and your manager in an effective manner
Skills
- 1- 3 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence or other relevant domain
- University Degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience
- Good knowledge and understanding of data analysis, programming, modeling techniques, data warehouse and data management, research, architecture and design

- ACAS or FCAS designations are considered an asset
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
