Mechanical Engineer-Early Career

Lockheed Martin is a leader in defense and aerospace, dedicated to solving complex challenges. They are seeking an Early Career Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design and verification of advanced radar systems, focusing on undersea defense and electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design, analysis, testing, and requirements verification of high performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems

Skills

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or in a related discipline
  • PRO-Engineer (CREO) or equivalent
  • Application of finite element analysis to a real-world situation
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access
  • Electronics packaging experience
  • Knowledge of materials and corrosion control
  • Knowledge of undersea defense systems
  • Capable using ANSYS Workbench to validate a design or solve a problem
  • Knowledge of acoustic sensors
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with complex electromechanical systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse, cross functional team
  • Knowledge of environmental qualification testing
