Test Engineer, I
Zebra Technologies is a community of innovators dedicated to creating smart solutions that meet customer needs. As a Test Engineer I, you will collaborate with senior engineers to ensure product quality by developing test cases, collecting data, and supporting partner collaborations.
Responsibilities
- Work with Engineering teams to understand product use cases and help align testing activities accordingly
- Set up and instrument tests to collect data using standard equipment such as accelerometers, strain gages, force meters, and multimeters
- Execute existing test plans and contribute to updating and aligning them with new learnings
- Assist in the design of basic test fixtures and jigs using CAD software (Creo preferred)
- Process and organize test data for analysis by the engineering team
- Support engagement with JDM (Joint Design Manufacturer) partners by helping document test methods and preparing for audits of partner testing
Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineer
- 1+ Yrs. Experience
- Hands-on experience with data acquisition and using standard test equipment (e.g., accelerometers, strain gages, force meters, multimeters)
- Familiarity with data processing and analysis using tools such as Python or MATLAB
- Basic proficiency with 3D CAD software (Creo preferred) for fixture design concepts
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Working knowledge with some experience in Python scripting, Labview, C++
