Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Remote Global Logistics Coordinator to manage the international movement of goods from the comfort of their home office. This role is integral to ensuring seamless and timely delivery of products across borders, coordinating with international carriers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, tracking shipments, resolving logistical issues, and maintaining clear communication channels with all parties involved in the international supply chain. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures is essential. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage international shipments from origin to destination, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations. Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, steamship lines, and air cargo carriers to secure bookings, track shipments, and manage transit schedules. Monitor shipment progress in real-time using tracking systems and proactively address any delays or issues. Communicate effectively with internal teams (e.g., sales, purchasing, warehouse) and external partners regarding shipment status and potential disruptions. Ensure accurate and timely entry of logistics data into the company's ERP or WMS systems. Research and stay updated on international trade regulations, customs requirements, and best practices in global logistics. Assist in resolving customs clearance issues and manage import/export documentation requirements. Support the continuous improvement of international logistics processes and identify cost-saving opportunities. Handle claims for damaged or lost shipments and coordinate with relevant parties for resolution. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in international logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of international shipping terms (Incoterms), customs procedures, and trade compliance. Proficiency in using shipping software, TMS, and general office productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite). Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with international partners. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy. Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting. Experience with hazardous materials shipping documentation is a plus.
