About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and dynamic Controls & Energy Solutions Engineer to support the transformation and growth of our HVAC Controls & Energy Solutions business as part of our modernization strategy across Europe. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving profitable modernization growth while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Controls & Energy Solutions (CSE) service sales model. This position involves supporting and coordinating modernization activities across the full CSE scope, including: pre-sales support, energy assessments, application engineering, testing & commissioning, remote monitoring, Measurement & Verification (M&V), and ongoing system optimization. The role will be based in Europe and requires regular travel across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

Identify legacy controls opportunities and lead modernization projects toward energy-efficient, networked smart-building systems. Develop and implement control sequences, schedules, and setpoints to reduce energy consumption and improve building performance. Analyze operational and energy data trends to deliver measurable savings and reduce end-user utility costs. Support sales development and upselling of advanced automation and modernization solutions. Provide technical and commercial support from design through execution, including: quotations, pricing, solution development, commissioning, customer presentations, and business development activities. Support implementation of smart-building technologies, new sensors, automation logic, and remote monitoring solutions. Contribute to Measurement & Verification (M&V) initiatives and development of ESCO business models. Assist customers in achieving carbon reduction objectives and regulatory compliance goals. Promote customer data analytics, performance monitoring, cybersecurity, and IT compliance initiatives. Train, coach, and support modernization sales teams to improve commercial effectiveness and market expansion. Profile Required Proven experience in HVAC controls, building automation, energy management, or smart-building solutions. Strong technical knowledge of: Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC controls, automation systems, energy efficiency solutions, smart-building technologies. Understanding of: energy optimization, carbon reduction strategies, sustainability initiatives, cybersecurity in connected buildings. Ability to combine technical expertise with commercial and customer-facing activities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment.
