Location: Remote Position Overview We are seeking a contract writer to develop and write a Christ-centered book focused on navigating social media and digital spaces wisely. We are open to different conceptual directions for this resource, including, but not limited to: A formational, theology-of-technology book that examines how social media affects our attention, desires, and identity, offering a vision for faithful digital discipleship. A highly practical guide or handbook that addresses specific digital struggles, such as navigating digital distraction, setting healthy boundaries/screen time rhythms, dealing with online conflict and outrage, or curating a life-giving, Christ-honoring online presence. A well-researched, data-backed guide book that bridges the intersection of science and biblical truth. This project would examine the verified psychological, neurological, and sociological impacts of digital media consumption and integrate those scientific insights with Scripture to offer an evidence-based, biblically grounded roadmap for holistic digital health. The ideal project will combine sharp cultural insight with rich biblical truth to offer genuine gospel hope, wisdom, and freedom for the digital age. Scope of Work Research, outline, and write a full-length manuscript (approximately 45,000–75,000 words) Collaborate closely with the editorial team through multiple rounds of revision Ensure theological alignment with The Daily Grace Co.’s doctrinal commitment Commitment Contract, per-project basis.

Compensation

Compensation is determined based on project scope and complexity. Additional Information Contractors are engaged based on the needs of specific projects and are not guaranteed ongoing or full-time work. Please submit all materials in a single PDF (not a Word Doc or Google Doc) that includes: 1. Title and Subtitle 2. Controlling Idea (1–2 sentences) 3. One-Paragraph Summary Provide a concise overview of the book’s purpose, scope, structure, and tone. 4. Target Audience Description (One of the Most Important Sections)Who this book is specifically for Their stage or season of life The particular struggles, questions, or longings they are experiencing Why this book matters to them now Tip: Specificity is essential. Broad descriptions such as “Christian women” or “believers” are not sufficient. 5. Comparable Titles (2–3 from the Past 5 Years) Identify 2–3 comparable books published within the last five years and explain: How your book overlaps with each one How it is meaningfully distinct in approach, audience, tone, or theological emphasis 6. Author Bio Explain what uniquely qualifies you to write this book, including: Education Ministry, counseling, academic, or professional experience Subject-matter expertise Lived experience relevant to the topic (if appropriate) Previous publishing or writing experience 7. Detailed Chapter Outline Provide a working table of contents that includes: Chapter titles The main idea of each chapter and how it supports the controlling idea of the book 8. Front and Back Matter (Optional) Describe any supplemental materials (e.g., photography, illustrations, reflection questions, discussion guides, recommended resources, liturgies, appendices, etc.). 9. Timeline and Specifications Include: Current manuscript status (idea stage, in progress, complete, etc.) Estimated total word count (typically 45,000–75,000 words) Anticipated manuscript delivery date 10. Other Book Ideas (Optional) If you have additional book concepts that may be a fit for The Daily Grace Co., please include a brief description of each idea (1–3 sentences per concept). While these ideas will not be considered part of the current proposal, they may be considered for future publishing opportunities. 11.
