As a Remote Freight Broker, you'll be the linchpin between customers and carriers, coordinating the transportation of freight with finesse. Your responsibilities include negotiating rates, building lasting customer relationships, and ensuring smooth, on-time deliveries.
What You'll Do
Plan and coordinate freight transportation for our valued clients. Utilize transportation management systems to track and manage logistics. Showcase your negotiation skills to secure competitive rates with carriers. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing top-notch service. Collaborate with carriers to secure capacity and guarantee timely deliveries. Monitor and resolve any transportation issues promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction. Utilize electronic data interchange (EDI) systems to exchange information seamlessly.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in freight brokerage or transportation planning is a big plus. Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and transportation industry practices. Proficiency in using transportation management systems and EDI systems. Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive rates with carriers. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication. Attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and a knack for problem-solving. Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software is advantageous.

Compensation
