Position Title: Course Instructor UNDC102 VAB – Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Internal Posting for CTF Members Only Term: Winter 2027 (March 1 – April 12) Days/Times: N/A Hours per week/Hours Total: 3 per week/18 total Mode of Delivery: Virtual Asynchronous Type of Instruction: Anticipated Class Size: 140 Additional Course Requirements: None Posted on: May 22, 2026 Posting ends: June 5, 2026 Position Summary: This course provides an introduction to crime prevention and criminal justice in a global context as defined by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Students are introduced to the United Nations’ norms and standards in crime prevention and criminal justice. It will also demonstrate international applications of these principles, which may include studies of police accountability; prison reform; violence against women; and alternative forms of justice. This course curriculum was developed in partnership with the UNODC. Qualifications - Required: Master's Degree Qualifications - Discipline: MA in Criminology, Sociology, or a related discipline; PhD or PhD in progress preferred. Work and/or research experience relating to the substantive area of global crime prevention initiatives is considered an asset, as is prior teaching experience. (MEd / EdD will not be considered to meet the minimum educational requirement).
