HR Specialist - Corporate (Hybrid - Cedar Park or San Antonio)

Job Summary This role is responsible for fostering strong associate relations, supporting site management, and driving key Human Resources initiatives related to talent management, organizational development, recruitment, training, total rewards and associate relations. The HR Specialist works collaboratively with HR Departments and division partners.

  • This is a HYBRID position supporting our Corporate offices in both Cedar Park and Kerrville, Texas. Candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance of either location, this may include the Austin or San Antonio metro areas.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Associate Support: Serve as the primary HR contact for Associates, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts and ensuring compliance with company policies, core values and employment laws.
  • Management Support: Assist managers with Associate performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and improvement plans.
  • Associate Relations: Conducts assigned policy and/or Associate concern investigations by documenting facts and conducting interviews. Collaborates with team members and leadership on investigations that require elevation.
  • Talent Management: Support talent review processes and succession planning initiatives to drive employee growth and organizational success.
  • Training & Development: Works collaboratively with leadership and the Learning and Development team to identify training needs, coordinate delivery, and facilitate leadership training to enhance workforce capabilities and Associate development.
  • Onboarding: Collaborate and support leadership on the onboarding process to ensure Associates have a seamless transition and receive the necessary resources for success.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure all HR practices adhere to labor laws, company policies and core values, maintaining a culture of fairness and accountability.
  • Recruitment: Partners with Recruiting team and leadership to participate in recruitment and Associate selections, monitor hiring plan progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Total Rewards: Partners with the Total Rewards and HR Operations team to ensure program structure and delivery aligns with Associate needs.
  • Communication: Works collaboratively with leadership and the Communications team to ensure functional and cross functional communication is accurate and timely.
  • Support: Provides assistance and support to other Human Resources team projects and initiatives, as necessary.
  • Change Management: Executes effective strategies for change and help Associates and leadership adjust to the new processes and practices to ensure the changes create a successful experience and are sustainable within the organization.

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in human resources or similar work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong and trustworthy relationships at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive HR initiatives in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven ability to guide organizational change from conception through implementation to adoption.
  • Business acumen and understanding of organizational dynamics.
  • Ability to proactively solve problems and apply innovative solutions.
  • Ability to travel to various work locations as business need requires.
  • Must be able to meet conflicting employment guidelines.
  • Maintain human resource information systems and keep personnel records up-to-date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with building and executing reports from data warehouse systems and using data to influence decision making.
  • Experience within multiple human resource disciplines.
  • Spanish fluency.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies.
