Role Description The Senior Project Manager- Learning Experience on the Telehealth team oversees all aspects of online course development for medical professionals. Responsibilities include prioritizing new courses, coordinating subject-matter experts, and managing course creation, updates, and translations.

  • Lead and maintain a structured intake and prioritization process for new course concepts.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and alignment on goals across stakeholders.
  • Establish project governance frameworks including documentation standards and QA checkpoints.
  • Establish a systematic audit process with clinical experts and instructional designers.
  • Manage end-to-end projects for approximately 5 new online courses per year.
  • Create detailed project schedules, risk logs, and communication plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional contributors including SMEs, content creators, designers, translators, and vendors.
  • Serve as the central communication point for all course development activities.
  • Manage project budgets and track spending.
  • Partner with instructional designers and clinical experts to shape course objectives and structure.
  • Ensure all learning content meets quality, accessibility, and relevance standards.
  • Support development and/or sourcing of multimedia components.
  • Coordinate with course developers to test, upload, and configure courses in the LMS.
  • Validate course usability across devices and connectivity conditions.
  • Oversee coordinated launch plans including communications and stakeholder alignment.
  • Monitor early performance, troubleshoot issues, and guide post-launch updates.
  • Lead and model best-practice project management approaches for Orbis staff.
  • Support hybrid or fully online Orbis training programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in project management, instructional design, education technology, public health, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing digital content or educational media projects.
  • Experience in online learning, instructional design, or medical/clinical education preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and digital course development processes.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum) desirable.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across cultures and disciplines.
  • Proactive problem-solving and risk mitigation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Enthusiasm for technology-enabled learning, global health, and “technology for good.”
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Ability to travel internationally 1–2 times per year.
