Position Summary: The Technical Service Manager purpose is to provide high-quality TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR printing inks to our customers and support the account managers for additional sales. This responsibility include: Primary Duties & Responsibilities: · Always maintain supplier-customer relationship for all customers in the region · Create technical rapport with customer base · Troubleshoot and identify ink related issues in the customer pressrooms · Provide technical support, including inspection results and detailed notes on adjustment activities · Develop and implement processes in support of efficient and effective operation of inplant/inhouse operations · Identify appropriate ink chemistries for specific system needs · Support sales activity to maintain and obtain new business · Complete Visit and Trial Reports and submit within 48 hours · Documentation of activity in Pipeline · Be able to design and conduct training seminars at customer facility (communicating color, formula make up, press-side troubleshooting, etc.) · Be able to design and conduct training for TIA personnel (communicating color, formula make up, press-side troubleshooting, printing processes, etc.) · Continuously monitor & improve work processes for increased efficiency · Comply with all TIA and Customer safety, waste, and chemical/hazardous materials handling practices · Back-up for TIA customer in-plant operations and/or TIA branch operation locations when needed · Complete other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or customer · Adhere to all Company policies Essential Skills & Experience: · High school degree or equivalent Five (5) plus years of printing experience (Offset and/or Flexography) · Three (3) plus years of color matching experience · Satisfactory completion of Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Color Hue Test (or similar) · Intermediate to advanced troubleshooting knowledge of print issues · Demonstrated ability to work independently by being self-motivated, knowing how to prioritize work, and excellent organizational and time management skills · Ability to interact with all levels of staff (production employees through upper management) in a professional, courteous manner · Reliable, dependable employee with good attendance practices · Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide proficiently; this includes use and calculation of percentages, decimals, fractions, and whole numbers, and the understanding of unit conversions (i.e. kg to lbs.). · Computer competency using office applications (Word, Excel) and email · Ability to read and write clearly and concisely · Become fluent with Company ink systems · Adhere to all TIA and Customer Company policies & procedures · Commitment to Company values Valued but not required skills & experience: · G7 certification · College or Technical training · HazMat Certified · Shipping/Receiving experience Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: · Travel required (50-75%) to various customers and other Toyo locations · Ability to work with chemicals · Physical ability to lift and move material (up to 50 lbs.) · Standing, walking, sitting for up to 10 hours per day · Personal Protective Equipment required in production areas. This may include steel-toed shoes, earplugs, safety glasses with side shields, etc. · Work extended days and/or weekends as needed Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Benefits:
