Summer Assistant, Beauty & Wellness Buying
About the position This role supports the Assistant Buyer with key operational tasks, including purchase order management, sample coordination, and new product setup. It is part of the buying/merchandising team, contributing to product launches, site optimization, and seasonal initiatives like the Holiday Gift Guide. Responsibilities
- Support the Assistant Buyer with Purchase Order Management, which includes creation, tracking and receipt
- Lead sample management and organization, which includes vendor outreach, tracking, and receipt
- Support new product launches, which includes learning about goop’s ingredient standards, asset management, Vendor setup, and SKU creation
- Learn the art of curation and discovery in support of the annual Holiday Gift Guide
- Support ad hoc site optimization projects
- Have opportunity to evaluate and preview new product development across goop’s multi-brand assortment
Requirements
- Experience in Microsoft Suite (proficiency in excel preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergrad (entering Junior or Senior year) in a related area of study or within 1-year post-graduation
