This role leads the organisation’s early careers and skills agenda, overseeing the transition from the Apprenticeship Levy to the Skills and Growth Levy and ensuring funding is used effectively to support both new talent and existing employees.

Acting as the internal expert on levy policy the role manages providers, compliance and reporting while translating policy into practical action. It also drives the development and delivery of a forward-looking skills strategy, identifying capability gaps and working with leaders to build clear development plans.

This is a remote working position with occasional travel required

About you:

  • Demonstrable experience managing apprenticeship levy funding, including digital account management, provider relationships, and compliance.
  • A solid understanding of the Skills and Growth Levy and the implications of the transition from the current Apprenticeship Levy framework.
  • Experience developing or contributing to a skills or learning strategy in a complex, multi-site organisation.
  • Experience managing or partnering with training providers and awarding bodies.
  • Proven ability to conduct skills gap analysis and translate findings into practical development plans.
