Lead Public Relation Officer - Mobility Specialist

Job Description Summary

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for delivering all UAE government relations, immigration, labor, licensing, and regulatory services for GE Vernova entities and employees. The role interacts with UAE authorities including MOHRE, ICP/Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security, GDRFA, Department of Economic Development (DED), various Free Zone Authorities (JAFZA, TECOM, ADGM, DMCC, etc.), Health Authorities, Municipality, Police, and Chamber of Commerce. The PRO ensures timely and compliant processing of all UAE visas, work permits, Emirates ID, establishment renewals, licensing, and government approvals. The role works closely with HR Operations, HR Managers, Legal, Shared Services, Finance, and a third-party immigration service provider.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Process immigration services including residency visas, labor cards, and renewals.
  • Manage Emirates ID applications, renewals, and related processes.
  • Handle visa cancellations, status changes, and exit procedures.
  • Support business visa and visit visa processing.
  • Use and update government portals (MOHRE, ICA, GDRFA, etc.).
  • Assist in maintaining company licenses and registrations.
  • Track visa and document expiry and notify stakeholders.
  • Support document attestations and official submissions.
  • Coordinate employee appointments (medical, biometrics, government visits).
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on government-related activities.
  • Support processing of government payments.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations, Emiratization requirements, and company policies.
  • Support management of establishment cards, labor files, and respond to government inspections or inquiries.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE government relations and immigration
  • Knowledge of UAE government portals and processes
  • Fluency in Arabic and English
  • Good communication and organizational skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience supporting multinational companies or multiple legal entities.
  • Experience working with external immigration vendors in UAE.
