Discover Financial Services is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Director of Compliance Programs to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a variety of compliance initiatives that ensure Discover’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will develop and implement programs and processes to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Moreover, you will monitor the implementation of compliance programs and take corrective action when necessary. To be successful as Director of Compliance Programs at Discover Financial Services, you should have excellent communication skills, a commitment to integrity, and a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in a compliance-related role. Additionally, experience in financial services is preferred. Responsibilities: Manage and lead a variety of compliance initiatives to ensure Discover’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Develop and implement programs and processes to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Monitor implementation of compliance programs and take corrective action when necessary. Provide guidance and direction to all staff in relation to compliance matters. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations. Identify areas of improvement in compliance procedures and recommend changes. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulators. Establish and maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with regulations. Prepare and submit periodic compliance reports to senior management.
