Collegiate Customer Service Representative

Alera Group, Inc. is seeking a Collegiate Customer Service Representative to join their team. The role involves responding to student and parent inquiries regarding health insurance, troubleshooting customer issues, and providing professional support during peak enrollment seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to a high volume of student and parent inquiries via phone and email regarding student health insurance enrollment, waivers, and general coverage questions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues while maintaining accurate documentation of interactions, follow-ups, and escalations within internal systems
  • Provide empathetic, professional customer support while collaborating with team members and supervisors to improve service processes during peak enrollment seasons

Skills

  • Prior customer service experience required, preferably in a high-volume phone and email support environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to assist students and parents in a professional, patient, and empathetic manner
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work both independently and collaboratively during busy seasons
