Purpose of this role:

The District Sales Manager plays a critical role in 3A’s success and growth by delivering sales results within a defined territory. This role’s primary responsibility is to develop and implement a strategy for growing sales and profits through assigned accounts that have multiple product requirements. This role serves as the primary point of contact with these accounts and is responsible for making sales calls, developing and coordinating sales presentations, and providing superior sales service.

In this position, you will be responsible for…

  • Managing all sales activities for assigned accounts to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability targets
  • Driving new business development with a strong focus on profitable growth
  • Proactively prospecting and developing new opportunities with distributors, fabricators, and end users
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships based on transparency, integrity, and trust
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding expectations for product quality, service, and responsiveness
  • Providing accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts
  • Communicating customer requirements and expectations clearly to support alignment and execution across internal teams
  • Managing sales expenses within budget and in alignment with prior-year performance
  • Supporting the development of strategic plans and annual budgets through sales projections and market insights
  • Maintaining and strengthening the company’s market position in alignment with overall strategy and mission
  • Overseeing the resolution of product quality issues in collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Preparing and delivering timely sales reports, market analyses, account plans, and CRM updates
  • Keeping senior leadership informed of market trends, account developments, risks, and opportunities that may impact business performance
  • Negotiating pricing, volume, and contract terms to optimize financial and strategic outcomes
  • Collaborating closely with Customer Service to ensure seamless fulfillment of customer needs
  • Identifying and developing new applications for products through a pull-through marketing approach with distributors and end users
  • Leveraging industry events, trade shows, and professional networks to build relationships and drive sales growth
  • Continuously improving sales and account management processes through a total quality mindset
  • Upholding the highest ethical standards and promoting adherence to the company’s code of conduct
  • Performing additional duties as needed to support the growth and profitability of the assigned account base

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with ability to close deals
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships
  • Experience working in systems (i.e. CRM, ERP, Sales Forecasting)
  • Able to analyze and solve problems with varying degrees of complexity
  • Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, collaboration and influencing skills
  • Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, web, databases)
  • Proficient at detailed product presentations using samples as well as electronic presentation
  • Willingness to travel domestically (60-70%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • A minimum of three years in Sales or Business Development required, with a high level of success selling in a B2B or distribution environment
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-region sales organizations within a B2B, OEM, or distribution-driven environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, and margin management.
  • Advanced negotiation, strategic planning, and executive communication skills.
