Position Title: Sr. Storage Architect

Position Location: Remote in the Northeast; specifically looking for coverage in New England and Upstate New York

Job Summary

The Sr. Storage Architect plays a key role in supporting the storage and data protection growth of Pellera. You will be assisting our clients by scoping and presenting comprehensive storage and/or data protection solutions that align with business objectives. This position requires a deep understanding of both business processes and technical systems to bridge the gap between business needs and IT capabilities.

This role plays a pivotal part in representing the Pellera storage and data protection story with our clients, vendors and employees. Additionally, the role includes shaping proposals and driving pre-sales strategy ensuring that our professional services are aligned with client business goals. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, effective communication, and presentation skills to drive successful solution delivery and business process optimization.

Essential Functions

  • Leading technical sessions on storage and/or data backup solutions to address customer’s needs.
  • Organizing dynamic sales and training sessions on cutting-edge data center technologies specifically with data storage and/or data backup solutions.
  • Building strong relationships with Pellera’s enterprise solution partners to drive collaboration.
  • Attaining sales and technical certifications to enhance expertise in storage and data backup solutions.
  • Staying updated on technical challenges and trends for strategic insights.
  • Supporting clients in their digital transformation with audit, architecture, consulting, implementation, and training.
  • Identifying and validating cloud solution opportunities that integrate with existing systems.
  • Promoting, positioning, selling, and project oversight with Pellera professional services.

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies

  • Candidate must possess extensive subject matter expertise in a core data center domain, with a critical focus on storage and/or data backup/recovery solutions. Required skills must encompass expert-level proficiency in architecting and designing storage solutions whether on-premises and off-premise including cloud with more than one of the following OEMs: IBM, Dell, Infinidat, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Hitachi Vantara, Vast, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, Brocade, Cisco, Nutanix.
  • 10+ years of experience in architecting and implementing data center solutions.
  • Participate in the development and integration of new and emerging technology solutions and partnerships; with a focus of growing Pellera Technologies.
  • Participate in customer facing meetings to determine business and technical requirements that will be used in developing data center solution(s)
  • General knowledge in storage adjacent technologies including skills in virtualization, containers, servers, networking, operations management, orchestration and automation, virtual desktop infrastructure and cloud foundation.
  • General knowledge with the value of positioning professional and managed services

Education and Experience

  • A college diploma or equivalent experience in computer science or information technology systems is required.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in solution design and architecture.
  • Candidates should be able to travel overnight and up to 25% of the time.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
