Primary Care Physicians (Canada) required for AI Project

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-26

Mentis AI is recruiting Primary Care Physicians based in Canada to participate in an upcoming AI project scheduled to begin in two weeks. This is an exceptional opportunity for clinicians interested in shaping how artificial intelligence understands and augments real-world clinical reasoning, patient interactions, and healthcare workflows.

As a physician within our expert network, you will be matched to one of several AI initiatives based on your clinical experience, specialty, and interests. These projects involve working closely with AI research teams to review, label, evaluate, and refine medical AI systems that directly impact patient care and provider workflows globally.

This role is remote, flexible, and designed to fit alongside existing clinical or academic work.

About Mentis AI

At Mentis AI, we’re building the next generation of AI systems grounded in real-world medicine. We collaborate with clinicians to ensure ethical, accurate, and clinically meaningful use of AI in healthcare. As a clinical contributor, you’ll have hands-on exposure to cutting-edge AI model development, collaborating with leading researchers and medical experts to bring safe, effective innovations to life.

Project Overview

Our newest project will commence in mid-April, with onboarding starting immediately.

Physicians will be assigned to one of several parallel work streams depending on their background:

  • Clinical Note & Record Review: Label and summarize patient notes to train and validate model understanding.

  • Model Evaluation: Review AI-generated consultations, summaries, or recommendations — assessing clinical accuracy, safety, and reasoning.

  • Prompt Design & Testing: Create and refine clinical prompts to improve model reliability and communication clarity.

  • Error & Feedback Analysis: Identify and document patterns in model outputs to support fine-tuning and continual improvement.

Each workstream plays a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and clinical fidelity of emerging AI tools.

Requirements

  • Licensed MD or DO in Canada with active registration

  • Strong understanding of clinical terminology, workflows, and documentation in primary care

  • Excellent summarization, analytical, and written communication skills

  • Native or near-native English proficiency

  • Reliable attention to detail and commitment to clinical accuracy

  • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously

What We Offer

  • Flexible scheduling to suit your clinical or academic commitments

  • Remote participation from anywhere in Canada

  • Competitive compensation - Paid weekly

  • Work alongside fellow physicians and global AI researchers

  • Opportunity to shape how healthcare AI tools are designed, evaluated, and deployed in real-world practice
