About the role As a Customer Service Representative at M&D Insurance Brokerage Inc., you will play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our clients while assisting them with their commercial insurance needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the insurance brokerage industry. You will be responsible for managing client inquiries, providing accurate information about insurance products, and ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.

Responsibilities Client Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding commercial insurance products and services in a timely and professional manner.

  • Policy Management: Assist clients with policy inquiries, changes, renewals, and cancellations, ensuring that all requests are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Quote Generation: Prepare and present insurance quotes to clients, explaining coverage options and answering questions to help them make informed decisions.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized records of client interactions, policy details, and relevant documentation in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, brokers, and other team members to ensure effective communication and service delivery for client accounts.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve client complaints and issues, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
  • Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up communications with clients to ensure their needs are met, address any additional questions, and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and new insurance products to provide clients with up-to-date information and advice.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards within the insurance brokerage industry.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service or support within the insurance brokerage industry, specifically in commercial insurance, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a friendly demeanor and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Proficient in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
