Patent Associate – Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Denver)
Faegre Drinker is seeking a junior patent associate with an engineering background to join their dynamic Intellectual Property practice in Denver. The ideal candidate will handle patent prosecution and work with mechanical technologies, while also managing chemical or materials science patent applications as needed.
Responsibilities
- 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience (as an agent or attorney)
- Demonstrated experience working with mechanical technologies
- The ability to handle chemical or materials science patent applications as needed
- Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills
- USPTO and admission to a state bar from a relevant state (or wave-in capability) required
Skills
- 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience (as an agent or attorney)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience working with mechanical technologies
- The ability to handle chemical or materials science patent applications as needed
- Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills
- USPTO and admission to a state bar from a relevant state (or wave-in capability) required
- Graduate degree a plus
