Securities Administrator (12-Month Contract)

Vancity is a member-owned credit union committed to inclusion and social justice. As a Securities Administrator, you will provide critical administrative support to the Sustainable Wealth Management advisory teams and members by processing work from member meetings within prescribed timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to optimize the capacity of Sustainable Wealth Management advisory staff
  • Completing member transactions within prescribed policies and procedures while maintaining regulatory standards
  • Building effective working relationships across Sustainable Wealth Management and Member Services to support an integrated platform
  • Enabling execution of an enhanced, differentiated member experience
  • Identifying and recommending process improvement opportunities to optimize service delivery
  • Upholding compliance and risk mitigation standards in all administrative activities
  • Managing workload effectively to meet deadlines and business needs
  • Supporting Wealth Planners with timely and accurate documentation processing

Skills

  • Post-secondary education or industry courses such as CSC (Canadian Securities Course) or IFIC is required
  • 1-3 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in administrative or operational roles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze problems and identify critical components
  • Proficiency with technology and financial systems
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships and provide technical guidance
  • Previous experience in Wealth Management
  • Familiarity with securities administration processes
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in financial services
