Business Development Manager (Outside Sales) Eastern and Central NC

The HC Beauty Business Development Manager (BDM) is a field, outside sales position responsible for driving business in salons through B2B sales with new business development/prospecting and existing business growth strategies. The BDM works to equip salon owners with the tools and products to transform the culture of their salons through education, products, mentoring, tools and sundries that develop them as leaders of consistently profitable businesses. The BDM reports into the Sales Manager and has predetermined targets for new business development. Bonus and performance are both determined by attainment of goals. This position will be heavily prospecting new business leads. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Medical/dental/vision plan (80% of premium paid by company)

  • Base salary hovers around $50,000 + commission on all orders, inherited and earned. Uncapped commission paid out at 10% on a biweekly schedule
  • $350 monthly car allowance, with gas and maintenance reimbursements

This position is 100% in the field, our ideal candidate must be located in one of the following cities; Raleigh, NC or Wilmington, NC. Base salary: $50,000 + commission on every order and performance bonuses A PEEK IN ON THE JOB

  • Road warrior - this position is heavily prospecting new business opportunities.
  • Partner with salon owners to build lasting relationships, and rollout new ideas and systems to continually increase revenue
  • Expand market share through rotation management inclusive of both existing and new business development
  • Develop strong pipeline of potential new salon business and achieve new business goals
  • Create a powerful, trusting relationship with salon owners, stylists and employees.
  • Manage a systematic meeting schedule for assigned accounts and prospective business within a geographic territory
  • Execute strategic education plans for your territory in collaboration with in-house Education team to promote, and assist in execution of regional and national educational events
  • Consult with salon leaders to identify business needs and provide ideas and systems that increase their revenue with products and services.
  • Attend all company provided meetings and trainings
  • Travels regularly to salon locations to execute meetings and sales processes. Overnight travel varies.
  • Willing and open to continuously grow and learn to develop an expert working knowledge of all products, services, internal systems, assigned accounts, new opportunities, and competitors.

QUALIFICATIONS We know that there are exceptional candidates who might not meet 100% of the qualifications outlined in job descriptions - a successful candidate for this role will have most of the experiences, mindsets, and dispositions described below:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-5 years of relevant sales/industry experience.
  • Any combination of outside sales experience or beauty/salon industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • High sales drive - ability to prospect and close new business.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Adaptable to working with and educating various personality types.
  • Competitive and collaborative.
  • Computer Skills: Google Suite, Zoom and general comfort with new programs.
  • Bonus points for familiarity with NetSuite.
