Business Development Representative

Mycroft is an AI-native cybersecurity and compliance platform redefining how modern businesses stay secure. The Business Development Representative will focus on creating a qualified pipeline for the sales team through outbound prospecting and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own outbound across email, LinkedIn, and calls to generate qualified demos
  • Research accounts and tailor messaging to security, compliance, and risk pain points
  • Represent Mycroft alongside the sales team at conferences and events, helping drive awareness, start conversations, and generate qualified opportunities
  • Book and qualify demos that meet ICP and qualification standards
  • Maintain clean CRM data and accurate activity tracking
  • Test and iterate on outbound sequences, value props, and call approaches
  • Share learnings with Sales Leadership and Marketing to improve conversion rates
  • Partner with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs and strong deal context
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing on campaigns and targeting
  • Help shape outbound playbooks, talk tracks, and qualification frameworks as we scale

Skills

  • 0–2+ years in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role
  • B2B SaaS experience is a plus, but not required
  • You are competitive, resilient, and comfortable hearing 'no'
  • You take ownership of your number and your learning curve
  • Clear, confident, and concise — especially in writing
  • Able to simplify complex topics into compelling conversations
  • You want to understand how businesses buy, not just follow a script
  • You actively seek feedback and improve quickly
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and fast change
  • You'd rather figure it out than wait for instructions
