Role profile:

This role will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational direction of mobile/web applications and IoT platforms.

You will lead the technical vision and architecture for our app and IoT ecosystem ensuring that scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions are delivered in alignment across our diverse portfolio of brands.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Platform Strategy: Define and evolve the Group App & IoT Framework—ensuring it supports modularity, reuse, and long-term scalability
  • Ecosystem Architecture: Design a cohesive digital ecosystem that integrates apps, connected devices, and data services across brands
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local product managers, engineering teams, and commercial leads to align technical delivery with market requirements
  • Entrepreneurial Execution: Take initiative, identify opportunities, and roll up your sleeves to prototype, troubleshoot, or accelerate delivery when needed
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Influence and coordinate across business units to ensure the platform delivers value and meets customer needs
  • Developer Enablement: Shape the internal developer experience—tooling, APIs, documentation, and support
  • Data Integration: Collaborate with data teams to ensure digital products are insight-rich and future-ready
  • Collaboration: Contribute to the Group Engineering Leadership Team, and mentor cross-functional colleagues

To be successful in this role, we are seeking the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 8- 10 years of relevant experience within software or platform engineering, with deep experience in app ecosystems and IoT
  • A strong track record of delivering complex digital platforms in a matrixed or multi-brand environment
  • Strong analytical and decision-making ability
  • Passion for innovation and user-centric design
  • Experience working closely with product management and commercial teams to align technical delivery with business goals
  • A builder’s mindset—proactive, resourceful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Deep understanding of platform architecture, developer experience, and service design
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to influence at all levels of the organization
